Gestalt Therapy is based on two main concepts: That what we have in the present moment is the most real and that we are all interconnected. We are products of the environment that we are in and the social relationships that we create. Trues psychological health is based on self-regulation of our compensations to the changes that life naturally brings. The body and mind are seen to be in a state of balance.

Empty Chair - has two chairs and client will sit in each and reflect on different conflicts while sitting in each chair
Dream work - where discussing dreams and the individuals involved in them are all representations of one's self trying to finished unresolved issues
Art & Fantasy - similar to dreams, having the client describe situations in a pictorial fashion to stream together a series of events
Body Language - the therapist will observe the movements made by the client while they relaty their story and ask them what they things those movements mean.
